The Hungarian OISTAT Centre is organizing its fifth full-day conference Designing the Future – Scenography and Performing Arts Technology Education in Hungary and Abroad, which will take place in Budapest on the 30th of May, at Jurányi House. In a constantly changing world, theatre and performing arts professionals face new challenges — and education must evolve to meet these demands.
Our conference aims to provide an overview of the current state and future directions of scenography and stage technology education in Hungary, Europe, and the international scene. The program will address emerging trends in education, the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, opportunities for students to realize actual projects, and the role of artificial intelligence in the future of teaching. Training programs for theatre technicians will also receive special attention.
Among the speakers are both Hungarian and international experts, as well as representatives of the OISTAT community—including Larry Busch, Chris Van Goethem, Dinesh Yadav, Nadia Malik, Adrian Damian, Fruzsina Nagy and OISTAT President Aby Cohen—helping us reflect together on global trends.
Detailed program will be available soon on our Facebook page, stay tuned!
