Invitation to OISTAT Publication & Communication Annual Meeting and Chair Election with Cultural Landmark and its Communities Conference
October 3-8, 2014, Taipei, Taiwan


Dear OISTAT Members,

It is with pleasure to invite you to the 2014 OISTAT Publication & Communication Annual Meeting in Taipei, Taiwan, on October 3-8.

This year, we will also be electing a new commission Chair for OISTAT Publication & Communication. Therefore your presence is important in supporting and contributing to the future of the commission and OISTAT. The Headquarters has extended the call of Chair nominations, please do encourage those who might be interested to contact the HQ at headquarters@oistat.org.

2014 Publication & Communication Annual Meeting will be held in conjunction with a management forum OISTAT Headquarters and Taipei Performing Arts Center is organizing, themed Cultural Landmark and its Communities. On October 4-5, a two-day forum will be held to discuss about the establishment of cultural landmarks and the effectiveness to the communities around them. With the light of many large-scale performing arts centers opening by 2016, this forum aims to draw professionals from across Taiwan in discussions of the future. Digital outreach is among one of the topics.

This PCC meeting will be a low-budget meeting. OISTAT Headquarters will assist in providing accommodation choices shortly. The commission business meeting will include the current and future initiatives of the commission. Current Chair Austin Wang is stepping down after 4 years of serving the commission, the Chair election conducted during a business session. We urge every delegate to participate in the meeting as well as the election. Your presence is vital to the future of the commission and the organization.
