Hi everybody,
I have been asked by Reija Hirvikoski to work with the OISTAT Sound Design Group to find a new Head (I will not be a candidate). We have an upcoming Sound Design Group meeting in Cardiff at World Stage Design on Tuesday, September 10 from 16:30 - 18:00 BST. Reija, as the chair of OISTAT Performance Design, will also attend the meeting to facilitate the process. I have asked Ian Evans to make sure that we have an internet connection, so that those who cannot attend in person can participate virtually in this very important process. The time usually works out well as it is morning in the West and evening in the East. It is very important that we find a new leader willing to continue the wonderful work that Steve Brown did, and undertake new initiatives to take our group to even greater heights. So I ask you to...
1. Consider whether you would be willing to undertake such a challenge yourself, and/or...
2. Consider who out there would make a good candidate to lead our group, and whether you would be willing to approach that person and put their name in consideration.
If the answer to either of these is yes, please send a nomination to me as soon as possible, along with a short 100 word bio that we can distribute in advance of the meeting.
