OISTAT Performance Design and Research Commissions in Shanghai, China
PERFORMANCE ENCOUNTERS: Inter/Intra – Cultural Contexts for the Art of Stage Design
In March 2013, the joint meeting of OISTAT Performance Design and Research commissions in Shanghai was a huge success with 15 delegates from Finland, New Zealand, Denmark, Switzerland, Brazil, Netherlands, Mexico, USA, UK, Egypt, China, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and OISTAT headquarters in Taiwan. Many issues were raised and discussed during the meetings, and many creative presentations were conducted to help the theater community to better provide the world with more diverse and compelling theater works. President of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Professor Han Sheng could not have said it better, “There is nothing more powerful than when we come together to share ideas.”
