Dear OISTAT Colleagues,
The United States Centre of OISTAT (USITT) cordially invites the Performance Design Commission of OISTAT to collaborate on programming and to meet at the Salt Lake Convention Center in Salt Lake, Utah. The USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo opens on Wednesday, March 16 and concludes on Saturday, March 19. Information about USITT and the Annual Conference & Stage Expo is available at http://www.usitt.org.
The invitation is based on USITT-OISTAT programming created in collaboration between USITT and OISTAT Performance Design. The overarching theme for the PD panels is: "Beyond borders/Beyond language" with the emphasis on collaboration between the areas of design for performance and ideas that expand beyond the boundaries of conventional understanding of set, costume, lighting and sound design.
USITT is interested in creating OISTAT led sessions that will be inspiring and stimulating future USITT, OISTAT collaborations. Peers from the USITT International Committee and the Heads of the OISTAT working groups will select submitted proposals. The proposal submission is November 28, 2015.
US OISTAT Centre will provide the voting delegates and all selected presenters from the Performance Design Committee with four nights of shared complimentary accommodations (room and tax only). Complimentary registration for the USITT Conference & Stage Expo will be provided. Delegates who would like to arrive early and need housing prior to the opening of the Conference and/or stay beyond will be responsible for the cost of any additional nights of accommodation. Each delegate is responsible for his or her own transportation (international and local).
OISTAT Performance Design meetings and presentation sessions will be scheduled on Thursday through Friday. The Exact meeting times will be confirmed to you by the USITT office before the conference.
Additional Individual and Associate member delegates that would like to, may register online for the USITT Conference and reserve accommodations via the following web address: www.usitt.org/Conference. According to normal OISTAT practice, all other additional delegates will be responsible for their own costs.
