OISTAT Lighting Design Sub-Commission is hosting a workshop at World Stage Design 2025 in Sharjah, UAE called From Many Eyes: An Exploration Of World Design Through Lighting Scenario.
This workshop will bring together a diverse group of designers from multiple geographical backgrounds to participate in an exploration of their lighting techniques. Each designer will be given a Lighting Scenario, and they will then take turns exploring the scenarios featuring methodologies from their home regions using the shared studio plot. Each exploration will be followed by group analysis and discussion by the designer participants and workshop attendees. This workshop intends to expose the attendees to lighting methods from around the globe.
We seek energetic and engaging people to participate in this impactful learning experience as our diverse group of lighting designers. Lighting designers learn best from each other, and this workshop is developed specifically to introduce attendees from around the world to the lighting methods and ideas of other regions and cultures.

pdc_lighting@oistat.org, including a CV and brief bio. Attendance at the workshop is limited due to the size of the venue. More information on the process of reserving a spot as an attendee will be coming soon.
