Dear Members,
OISTAT World Congress 2025 is scheduled for October 23, 2025, where members will gather to discuss and vote on important organizational decisions. One of the key agenda items is voting on proposed amendments to the OISTAT Statutes. To ensure our mission continues to reflect current practices within the global theatre and performing arts community, the Executive Committee has proposed several revisions, including:
• Clarifying the role of a (Sub-)Commission Chair
• Replacing gender-specific language with inclusive terms
• Adding clearer context regarding online voting
• Clarifying that an individual can serve a maximum of four terms in any combination of the following OISTAT leadership positions: President, Executive Committee member, and (Sub-)Commission Chair
