Rendez-vous Ottawa 2026
August 12 - 14, Ottawa, Canada




Organized by OISTAT Canada Centre and CITT/ICTS, Rendez-vous is an annual conference and trade show dedicated to live performance technologies. Held in a different Canadian city every year, the 2026 edition will take place at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Arts, Department of Theatre. The event brings together professionals from live performance and event industries for networking, professional development, and collaboration. Early-bird registration is available until June 16, 2026. OISTAT members are eligible for an exclusive Partner Organization Member rate.
 



Bucharest Scenography Biennial 2026 Rescheduled to October
 



The Bucharest Scenography Biennial (BSB), organized by OISTAT Romania Centre, has been rescheduled to October 16–25, 2026. This year's event will be held in partnership with the National Theatre Festival (FNT), creating expanded opportunities for exhibitions, professional exchange, and international cultural dialogue. More updates will be announced.

As the global theatre community begins preparing for Prague Quadrennial (PQ) 2027, many OISTAT members are already exploring opportunities to connect and share their works at one of the world's influential events for performance design and space. While PQ is initiated by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and organized by the Arts and Theatre Institute (ATI), it remains an important event closely followed by the OISTAT community.

Call for AI Focused Presenters to Submit PQ Talks
Deadline: June 19, 2026




As artificial intelligence continues to reshape creative industries worldwide, OISTAT members Matthew Allar (USA) and Magnus Hansen (Denmark) are inviting AI-focused practitioners from the OISTAT community to submit proposals for PQ Talks 2027. They are seeking presenters working across sound, lighting, scenography, costume design, technical production, digital media, education, and related disciplines. Presentations will explore both the creative possibilities and ethical challenges of AI in performance, production, and design. Learn more about the call. Submit your proposal.

Looking to build skills for the future of the Performing Arts sector? The INSPIRE Project offers free online training in sustainability, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, resilience, and people management. Available in 7 languages, the platform supports professionals, students, and emerging performing arts practitioners.
