OPEN CALL FOR 2024 OISTAT Summer Interns!
OISTAT is seeking enthusiastic and curious candidates who would like to experience cultural exchange in a global organization. The OISTAT Internship Program provides the opportunity to experience working at the headquarters of a global arts organization in Taiwan.

What is OISTAT
The International Organisation of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT) is a worldwide organization for scenographers, theatre architects, theatre educators, and theatre technicians. It is a co-operative, non-governmental organization with OISTAT Centres, associations, and individual members representing more than 50 countries.
OISTAT was officially established in Prague in 1968 to promote the worldwide exchange of ideas and innovations, encourage lifelong learning among live performance practitioners, and dedicate itself to fostering international collaborations. OISTAT respects the diversity of all cultures and celebrates the similarities and differences of those who work in support of live performances. OISTAT officially moved its headquarters to Taipei in 2006, becoming the first non-governmental arts organization to base its headquarters in Taiwan.
What to Expect from the Internship Program
• You will acquire basic skills in arts administration, including giving interviews in English or Mandarin, project planning, social media operation, and event execution.
• You will develop an understanding of international arts organizations through assisting with daily operations and tasks at the HQ, such as global members managing, website managing, project execution, and organizational administration.
Internship Compensation
This is an unpaid internship. You will receive a certificate of completion from OISTAT upon completing the program.
Internship Duration
From July 1st to August 30th, 2024.
Two to three days a week is recommended; further details to be discussed in person. The more time you are willing to invest, the more you will gain from this internship.
Internship requirements
• College or postgraduate students who are interested in the following fields: arts administration, global organization management, art and cultural studies.
• Basic knowledge in Mandarin

Application process and dates
Internship application is available before Apr 28th through online application form.
Interviews will be held during the week of May 6th – May 10th.
The acceptance notification will be sent on Wednesday, May 15th.
