Valerian Gunia Union of Young Theatre Artists – the OISTAT Centre of Georgia, is delighted to extend its invitation to you to participate in the 5th Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design, which will be held from 25 September to 5 October, 2024 in Tbilisi.
About Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design
The Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design was founded in 2016 with the participation of four countries located in the Caucasus region aiming to create a regional hub for the exploration and presentation of contemporary scenography trends and techniques. Since its inception the Biennale has served as a platform for young stage designers to flourish professionally, fostering creativity and the exchange of innovative ideas.
Application
Each participating country and region will oversee the management of its pavilion, led by a national curator who selects participating artists.

March 31, 2024
Qualifying Criteria for Participants
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in theater, cinema, television, or multimedia scenography, including computer games
Selection by national curators of respective countries and regions
National curators shall manage the organization of expositions of their countries and regions.
Qualifying Criteria for Works
Projects realized or premiered between 2020-2024
Acceptable forms of submission: sketches, photos, shows, videos, animations, installations, multimedia scenography, costumes, dummies, puppets, etc.
Foreign participants are advised to present original sketches at the Biennale. In case obtaining special permits for the export of works proves complicated, high-quality prints will also be accepted.
