Dear OISTAT community,
We would like to inform you of an important development within our organization. Following Hazem Shebl's resignation on October 11, 2023, the OISTAT Executive Committee has taken the necessary steps to address this vacancy.
In our efforts to maintain transparency and uphold the principles of our organization, we have traced the record of the voting results from the last OISTAT Executive Committee election, which took place during the OISTAT Online World Congress on October 10, 2021. After careful consideration, we have invited the next-highest voted candidate from that election, Lise Klitten, to assume the role and responsibilities previously held by Hazem Shebl.
Lise Klitten has been an active and dedicated member of OISTAT, contributing significantly to OISTAT Denmark Centre, Danish Designers for Stage and Screen, and the OISTAT Costume Design Sub-commission. Her prior role as the Chair of Costume Working Group (later renamed as Costume Sub-Commission) showcased her exceptional dedication, expertise, and profound insights into the theatrical arts. Lise's contributions have not only enriched the Costume Design Sub-commission but have also played a pivotal role in promoting OISTAT in Denmark.
We firmly believe that Lise's appointment as an Executive Committee Member will inject fresh perspectives into our organization's strategic direction and enhance our global impact. Her unwavering commitment to OISTAT's mission of fostering international cooperation and innovation in the performing arts is highly commendable.
We invite all members of the OISTAT community to join us in extending our warmest congratulations to Lise Klitten as she embarks on this new and significant role within OISTAT. We eagerly anticipate the collaborative efforts that lie ahead and the positive impact they will have on the theatre industry.
