CALL FOR ARTISTS AND THEATRE MAKERS OF PERFORMANCE AND SPACE TO PROPOSE WORKSHOPS |

Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space is inviting proposals for workshops for the educational project SpaceLab that will take place June 18-28, 2015 in Prague. We are looking for artists from across the fields of visual and performing arts to lead workshops and masterclasses to this vibrant international community of students and young professionals. All of the workshops will take place in the heart of Prague at the Theatre Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU). We are seeking workshops not usually offered in schools that ideally combine at least two disciplines - one of them being performance design/scenography. The workshops should relate to the main concept of the PQ 2015 that explores theatre as shared space and scenography as complex performative environment and its relationship to music, weather and politics. All workshop proposals should be submitted through the registration form. Deadline for submission – May 31, 2014 Selected workshop proposals will be informed by June 30, 2014 Find the call for Workshops also on our website and in PDF ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OTHER CALLS FOR PQ PROJECTS: Individuals and art groups can also submit projects to the Objects and Makers exhibitions. Students from all fields (not just theater) can present their student performances in public space and on a theater stage as part of the SpaceLabproject. Students and professional artists can also participate in the live exhibition called Tribes, which will take place in public and hidden-away spaces in the city center. The deadline for applications for these projects is 31 October 2014. SHAREDSPACE: MUSIC WEATHER POLITICS, workshop WARSAW: March 7 - 9, 2014, Warsaw, Poland Check the video and the photogallery from the scenographic workshop, which was held in Warsaw from 7th to 9thMarch as a part of SharedSpace project. The group of 18 young artists, scenographers, choreographers and actors had unique opportunity to collaborate with Marta Górnicka, Michał Libera, Julia Bui-Ngoc, Daniel Moński, Katarzyna Stefanowicz or Eric Linder. The participants had various professional backgrounds so they could exchange their ideas and experience. The workshop was organized by Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute together with Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space and Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia. |
