Dear OISTAT Members,
It is our greatest pleasure to welcome you to OISTAT World Congress and World Stage Design in Cardiff this year. World Stage Design and Scenofest, two of OISTAT’s prominent global projects, have come hand in hand this year to bring all of us a brilliant festival of exhibitions, performances, workshops, lectures and talks that are well beyond eye-opening and thought-provoking.
As much as we wish we have doubles or triples to be present at every event during World Stage Design, we are no magicians, and all the more reason to meet with our new friends and old friends everyday during this special period of time. It is through these OISTAT events that we discover more about each other and our cultures that can fire up future collaborations and more opportunities to continue our gatherings.
In the World Congress sessions on September 10th and 11th, we will be electing our new President and Executive Committee. Your participation is important to us and to the global theatre community which OISTAT so actively participates in through our commissions and projects around the world. Many OISTAT Congress events are open and free to our members, please see enclosed schedule of events for details.
World Congress will include three sessions:
1. Congress Welcome: 9:00 am – 11:00 am, September 10th, Tuesday, Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall
2. Congress Session: 2:30pm – 4:30pm, September 10th, Tuesday, Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall
3. Congress Session: 2:30pm – 4:30pm, September 11th, Wednesday, Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall
The Awards Ceremony for World Stage Design 2013 will be held on September 12th at 7:30pm in the Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall. We look forward to seeing you there in celebrating the magnificent works our global designers have achieved.
