Dear OISTAT members,
On behalf of OISTAT Executive Committee and the Governing Board, we cordially invite you to attend the 2011 OISTAT Congress which will take place on June 17 from 9:30 to 15:00 at the Disk Stage of DAMU in Prague, Czech Republic. A series of OISTAT meetings are also arranged by the OISTAT Commission Chairs to share their works with OISTAT colleagues as well as the other PQ participants in the field.
It is important that all OISTAT Centers as well as all members be represented at the Congress. This is the time for OISTAT to take care of business issues; this is also when you can bring up issues you would like OISTAT to address. In the afternoon session of 2011 Congress, we will invite the Presidents of all OISTAT Centers to participate in the panel discussions to exchange views and share visions for the present and future development of OISTAT and future interaction between OISTAT and its Centres or other members. Therefore it is very important that the president of each OISTAT Centre, or another representative, is present.
An additional OISTAT Reception will be held on June 18, Saturday 18:30‐20:30, at the Vestibul Hall, New Building of National Museum. We also invite you to join the grand reception. The OISTAT Reception will be featured by the forum ‘Dialogue between the West and the East in exploring different aesthetics of making the theatre space’. It will serve as a great occasion for the professionals of theatre and culture‐related fields from around the world to interact and share ideas with each other.
The general assembly of the Congress, Commission Meetings, OISTAT Reception, the OISTAT Theatre Architecture Competition Exhibition, and the abundant programs of Scenofest, along with the various events of Prague Quadrennial 2011, will make your stay in Prague a fruitful and worthy experience.
