The next World Stage Design will be held on August 6-16, 2022 in Calgary, Canada, by the University of Calgary’s School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) and the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology/Institut canadien des technologies scénographiques (CITT/ICTS), Canada’s OISTAT Centre.
World Stage Design (WSD) is an OISTAT event held every 4 years that is comprised of 4 distinct components that are presented simultaneously:
Scenofest 2022 seeks performances, workshops, masterclasses, panels and activities for knowledge sharing, community engagement and/or families that reflect the theme and vision of the Three Sisters of WSD2022.
The WSD 2022 Planning Committee will make the final selection from the submissions. The Scenofest team will contact the finalists to coordinate all of the details required, including the venue information, technical and material needs. Acceptance for Scenofest at WSD 2022 will require the selected artists/companies to take responsibility for the transportation of the performances, instructors, artists, and collaborators to and from Calgary, Canada. WSD 2022 will provide the appropriate venue and technical support for Scenofest events.
