A visit to Drottningholms Slottsteater will convey impressions of theatre life in the 18th century and give a better understanding of our living cultural heritage.

Gripsholm Castle
Gripsholm is known as Gustav Vasa's castle, as it was he who built the castle here in 1537. And in the 18th century Gustav III fitted out the exquisite castle theatre in one of the round Renaissance towers of the castle. Today, the theatre is one of Europe's most well-preserved theatres from the 18th century
