Dear members of the Technology Commission,
There is less than a week until first stage registration deadline for our annually meeting in Stockholm!
All the information about program, official invitation and registration form can be found at the OISTAT website, as well in attachment.
As you all know, we have very interesting program which includes tours of the Royal Opera House, with recently changed stage machinery, the Royal Drottningsholms Slottsteater, which is a UNESCO world heritage site with original stage machinery from 18th century and Gripsholm Gripsholm Palace in Mariefred with entirely preserved Kings Gustaf III private theatre from 1785.
Just after our meeting in Stockholm is Stage|Set|Scenery in Berlin. It will be taking place from 9 to 11 June. I would like to encourage you, if possible, to extend your trip to Berlin. Show Stage|Set|Scenery will this year include the International Stage Technology 3 days Conference, as well as the 9th OISTAT Theatre Architecture Competition and many interesting supporting programs, more about them can be found here.
Don't forget OISTAT day at the Prague Quadrennial, June 20th, 2015.
Information about the International gatherings and OISTAT meetings can be found at the OISTAT website.
And now, last but not least, news about the International Standards Project, an initiative of Andreas Bickel and Laura van Haperen and support of Ivo Kersmaekers and Wouter Paesen.
The first target of the International Standards Project (ISP) is to learn more about the existing standards and regulations in OISTAT member countries and to get a collection of them. Actually a questionnaire (as online survey) is in beta-test to be launched in 2015. Survey is set up to summarize the theatre technology standards and regulations worldwide. OISTAT TC members and supporters of the project may publish information and give feedback during online survey preparation and after publication of the questionnaire.
I know we will be in contact soon regarding the preparation of our Stockholm meeting.
Looking forward to meeting you in Stockholm!
Best regards,
Romana Boskovic
