Call for WSD 2017 Volunteers

Volunteers needed:
We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated volunteers who are interested in theatre and performance. Experience in any related aspect of technical theater is a plus.

World Stage Design happens every four years and provides attendees and participants with a much-anticipated opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the area of theatrical design and performance. WSD is an international exhibition and festival, with workshops and lectures by professional designers, and is attended by theatrical practitioners, educators, students, and theatergoers from across the globe. We are now seeking a team of passionate volunteers to assist with making WSD2017 an efficient and successful event for all in attendance.

All volunteers for WSD2017 will take responsibility for your own costs related to your staying during your time in Taipei, including travel and accommodation expenses. We will try to provide a bargain price hostel.

We are determined to create a brilliant volunteer experience and amazing moment that adds to your skilld and experinece, provides a truly valuable addition to your CV. A full description of the volunteer positions available is below.

Areas Required
1.Exhibition Team: Volunteers will assist designers in setting up and taking down their exhibitions, and be responsible for daily maintenance of the exhibition.

2.Scenofest Production Team: Volunteers will host the international performance groups and assist their production teams with setting up the technical equipment, running the performance, and taking down the sets and equipment at the end of their performances. 

3.Administration Team: Volunteers will provide support for the information desk personnel, help with sharing information and answering questions, provide support for the lectures, workshops, conference, and keynote speeches, and assist in taking photos for the archive. Knowledge of more than one language is particularly useful for this team.

Time required:
June 26 to July 10 Work one 8 hour shift per day. We will arrange a rotating shift schedule.
