2016 OISTAT Technology Commission Meeting Schedule

The Publication and Communications Commission invites all OISTAT members and commission delegates to attend our upcoming commission meetings in the Netherlands on October 15th – October 17th, 2016. 

Gerbrand Borgdorff and Bert Determann have organized a wonderful program. The commission meeting’s schedule includes:

Saturday, October 15th 
Morning                  Arrival of PCC members and invited guests in Rotterdam 
12.00p – 1.00p       Lunch at Rotterdamse Schouwburg

                                 OISTAT members will meet in the main lobby of Rotterdamse Schouwburg.
                                 Lunch and introductions. A tour of the performance venue will follow lunch.

3.30p – 4.15p         Presentations: Session #1 – Communication through Practice 
                                 (1 Presentation @ 15-20 minutes per presentation)

                                 Ivo Kersmaekers (Belgium) 
                                 “100 years of painted backdrops – the rediscovery of a forgotten stock” 

4.15 – 5.00p           Digital Theatre Words Presentation & Discussion 
                                  Location: TBD Conference Room at Rotterdamse Schouwberg 
Jerome Maeckelbergh (Digital Theatre Words Project Coordinator) leads a discussion about OISTAT’s Digital Theatre Words (DTW), the project’s status and its future goals.

5.00 – 6.00p           Regional Trade Magazine & Academic Journal Editors Meeting 
                                   Location: TBD Conference Room at Rotterdamse Schouwberg 
This commission meeting encourages new collaborations between commission members, regional trade magazine editors and local academic journal editors. Many years ago, the Publication and Communication Commission’s membership were very connected to the performance industry’s publications – the commission would like to rebuild those connections. All commission members are highly encouraged to attend.

OISTAT members will meet in the main lobby of Rotterdamse Schouwburg. This session will be commission’s annual business meeting.

Monday, October 17th – Amsterdam 
Morning TBD           PCC meeting attendees travel via train to Amsterdam 
OISTAT members will meet in the main lobby of Rotterdamse Schouwburg – we will agree to a meeting time during our business meeting on Sunday morning. The group will travel together to Rotterdam Centraal train station.
