Asia has been the most robust region for performing arts development of recent. National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), being the largest theatre complex when its doors open in 2017/18 is keen on creating an alliance among Asian partners.
This October, Weiwuying invites Brett Egan from the renowned DeVos institute of Arts Management to conduct a 2-day professional training academy for arts managers in Asia. The Academy focuses on strategic planning and financial planning, crystalizing the cycle for sustainable growth.
The DeVos Institute of Arts Management, founded by Michael Kaiser at the Kennedy Center in the US, provides training, consultation, and implementation support for arts managers and their boards. Since its founding in 2001, the Institute has served over 1,000 institutes from over 80 countries.
