The European voting for the proposal to establish a new CEN/TC (Technical Committee) to work out EN Standards for entertainment technology distributed as BT N 9397 - Draft BT C136/2013 ended on March 11 and the result was distributet by CEN/BT last Thursday:
Total votes cast: 28
Agreeing: 18
Disagreeing: 2 (with comments)
Abstaining: 13
Ballot result: approved
At least 6 countries committed themselves to partecipate actively - others may follow.
I'd like to catch this very positive moment for European Entertainment Technology Standardisation to thank all of you very much for partecipation, support, networking and motivation to bring this milestone to a successful conclusion!
I'm sure each of you did his very best to contribute in each possibility and I'm so grateful for that.
For the upcomming standardisation work the very best - I'm looking forward to the first meetings...
The official title of the TC is:
CEN/TC 433 Entertainment technology – Equipment, technical installations and machinery used on stages and other production areas within the entertainment industry.
