SHAREDSPACE PROJECT ANNOUNCES ITS LAST TWO EVENTS BEFORE PQ 2015!
Two upcoming events of the SharedSpace project in Warsaw and Riga take place in November and December, then the project takes a little break and will emerge again in June with its culminating event PQ 2015!
SharedSpace: Weather 
November 14 - 16,  2014, Warsaw, Poland
International workshop 

 
The international workshop SharedSpace: Weather, organised by Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute together with PQ, will engage participants with urbanism as can be deduced from its subtitle: Emotional Urban Weather. The workshop will consist of two parts – discussion/preparation and urban space activities. Participants will have the chance to collaborate with Polish and international artists and curators, such as Agnieszka Jelewska (PL) and Mike Pearson (UK).

SharedSpace Gathering: Riga

Workshop with Daniel Wetzel, Rimini Protokoll 

The second part of the workshop with Rimini Protokoll in Riga will continue to introduce the concept of ‘shared space’ in two of this company’s major projects: a multiplayer video piece, “Situation Rooms”, and a performance, “100% Riga,” with the participation of 100 local residents.

Performance 0:3, Space-Powers

Guy Gutman, Director of The School of Visual Theatre in Jeruzalem, summed up the successful Gathering: Performance 0:3, Space-Powers in the following words: “In the gathering’s four days we were, for a brief moment, a community, a nomadic tribe travelling between one event and the other, between different Scenographies. It was wonderful to host all of you and extremely meaningful for all of us.”
The Gathering, consisting of a symposium and performances, brought together, among others, Daniela Nicolò Francesconi, Enrico Casagrande, Silvia Bottiroli, Milo Rau and Mirjam Knapp.

SharedSpace Retreat: Helsinki
October 14 - 18, 2014, Helsinki 
An artistic retreat took place in the studios located on the historical fortress island of Suomenlinna, only a 15-minute ride from the centre of Helsinki. The participating artists had the opportunity to present and discuss their artistic work. The retreat was enhanced by visits to several exhibitions, for instance at Kunsthalle, The Finnish Museum of Photography, and the Alvar Aalto Museum. The artist-curator for the next retreat was selected from among the participants and the honour went to Florian Roithmayr.

SharedSpace: Music Weather Politics 2013 - 2016 is a three-year international scenography research and artistic project that aims to create platforms for creating, exploring, and redefining performative environments. Organized by the Prague Quadrennial and 13 international institutions, the project is open for all scenographers, theatre-makers, architects, theorists, art professionals, students and the wider public. Symposia, exhibitions, and educational modules will be held intensively in 11 European countries, with the culmination point happening during the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space 2015.
