International Program in Scenography is an intensive workshop organised by OISTAT Romania, bringing together artists from around the world. Led by international mentors, this program focuses on scenographic creation in site-specific multidisciplinary installations.
This exclusive program is dedicated to students and graduates from the realms of visual arts, performing arts, design, architecture, and scenography. It presents a remarkable opportunity for those passionate about international collaboration and the exploration of the profound connections between art, nature, culture, and the human body.
The International Program in Scenography generates a creative context where both emerging and established artists from different cultural backgrounds work together to investigate the role of design and its expressive qualities in reinterpreting local cultural heritage through site-specific installations.
Following two successful editions, the third one will explore the rich interplay between ancient myths and contemporary challenges. Based on the timeless works of Publius Ovidius Naso, who spent his final years in exile along the Black Sea coast, this edition invites participants to create site-specific installations inspired by the theme Visions, Myths and Algorithms.
Participants are granted the freedom to express their artistic visions through multiple mediums like mural art, kinetic sculptures, performing installations, landscape design, new media art, video art or augmented reality experiences.
The International Program in Scenography serves as a catalyst for dialogue, encouraging diverse perspectives on spaces of historical significance and their rejuvenation through temporary artistic interventions. It invites creators to redefine limits, challenge norms, and reshape the artistic landscape.

The culmination of the program will be on the 7th of September with a Gala, an exquisite event opened to the public where they can admire the artworks created during the program.
