Event|Wellbeing in Academia - for Students, Faculty, and Staff

Jul 15, 2020
Hosted by OISTAT Education Commission

After the successful OISTAT Education Week, it has become clear that the wellbeing of students, staff, and faculty is of crucial importance during this time.

OISTAT Education Commission is excited to deliver two extended sessions on wellbeing, based on the work of Professor Andrea Heilman (USA).

These sessions will be delivered in a webinar format on Zoom. Professor Heilman will present some foundational works around trauma, healing-centered engagement, and share tools to create growth-based spaces (classes and programs). Q&A opportunities provided.

The first session will focus on supporting students in the classroom and advising situations during this global crisis and beyond.

The second session will focus on non-students in educational establishments, how they can look after themselves and others, on a personal and departmental level, as we work through and into our uncertain future.

Session 1: How to Help Students through the Pandemic and Beyond?

Session 2: How to Look after Yourself and Staff during and after the Pandemic?
