Dear OISTAT Costume members,
It was great to meet with so many of you in Prague during PQ 2019! It was very busy time for all of us, but also inspiring and full of interesting meetings and connecting events.
We are finally sending you the minutes from our latest business meeting in Prague and apologise for the delay due to various reasons. For those who did not attend this event as well as for those who were present, this is a Newsletter with updates on OISTAT Costume activities and plans for the future!

1. Minutes from the PDC/C meeting in Prague
We recommend you to read the minutes of the Performance Design Commission / Costume business meeting in Prague on the OISTAT website by clicking here.
2. OISTAT PDC/C meeting in 2020: Mexico
We are currently working together with our Mexican colleagues to make this meeting happen and create a rich and inspiring program, and we hope that many of our members will be able to join.
We really believe that meeting with colleagues from this region will be very important for them to become part of our big international family, as well as for us, being sure that their professional and cultural background will be very inspiring for us.
Please save the dates: 25-27 May 2020 (with possible other activities before or after these dates)
To help our Mexican hosts in their planning, it would be good to know your tentative interest and possibility to come to this meeting. Please let us know if you are planning to come to Mexico in May 2020 by confirming your plans with us by 20th December 2019.
3. Critical Costume 2020: Oslo
The next Critical Costume conference and exhibition will take place on 21-23 August 2020 in Oslo, Norway. The theme is Costume Agency. If you’re interested in participating, save the date! A separate Call for Presentations will circulate in a few weeks and will be forwarded to our OISTAT Costume mailing list.
4. Tentative meeting in Egypt 2020
OISTAT is planning a meeting in Cairo in October of 2020. There will be a costume component to the meeting and Naiema Agamy has offered to plan a trip to Luxor for PDC/C members who would like to attend. More information will be available following the planning updates.
5. ‘Innovative Costume of the 21st Century: The Next Generation’ exhibition
After a successful run, the exhibition ‘Innovative Costume of the 21st Century: The Next Generation’ in Moscow has been extended until 2 October 2019 at the A.A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum and at the Center for Contemporary Arts-MARS (The State Historic Museum Exhibition is closed). For more information, click here.
6. Other news
There is currently a vacancy for the Course Leader BA (Hons) Costume for Performance full-time post at London College of Fashion. Anyone interested will find information here.
