SENA 2022 will again celebrate the excellence of contemporary Design for Performance from Southern European & Northern African countries and regions, including all areas of Design for Performance as: Set, Costume, Lighting, Sound; as well as Research, Education and Technical training.
SENA is a biennial regional project of OISTAT, which every 2 years is organized by a different country. In its second edition, SENA 2022 is organized by CORP’SCENE and will take place in the National Theatre Mohamed V RABAT and the cultural centre BENSLIMAN, Rabat, Morocco in October 25 – 29, 2022.
SENA 2022 coming to Morocco in October 25 - 29, 2022 will be organized in dialogue with the International Theatre Festival of Women Directors 2022 - BODY (جسد )
The 5-day program includes exhibition, performances, workshops, talks, seminars and sessions in collaboration with the Canon project and the following OISTAT Commissions: Research Commission, Education Commission, Architecture Commission, Publication & Communication Commission, Costume Design Sub-commission, Sound Design Sub-commission and Lighting Design Sub-commission.
Exhibition
The Exhibition is dedicated to presenting the excellence of contemporary designer’s productions from the region between 2017 to May 2022. Around 25 exhibitors will be selected by the jury panel to present their design works at the National Theatre Mohamed V exhibition space. Due to the extended deadline for submissions, the exhibitors will be announced in late September.

Workshops
The workshops are focused on international educational exchange. The workshop program will be developed in collaboration with OISTAT Commissions and Sub-commissions listed above. Workshops will be offered in-person only for the event attendees, locals and internationals.
Panel Sessions
International and local theatre practitioners and researchers will take part in the panel sessions, created and delivered with the collaboration of OISTAT members and OISTAT Commissions and Sub-commissions listed above. The panel sessions will be offered in-person and online only (it will not be delivered in a hybrid format).
Side Program
A side program will be offered to the participants as optional, including Live Performances, Theatre tours and sightseeing.
