2013 Costume Symposium
June 13-15, 2013
HOST: Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY
Automation and Costumes
Electronics are often seen as difficult to use for those accustomed to working with fabric. We simplify the process down to basics to make getting started less intimidating. In the projects participants use a wide variety of electronics in many of the basic categories, so that they can expand on their knowledge and the complexity of the projects as they become more proficient. This workshop will give each participant hands-on time with each of these types of electronics.
Participants may bring (not required) some clothing items that they would like to enhance. We will supply a variety of options as well. We will supply the electronics and fabric needed for all of the projects. We will supply all of the tools needed to implement the projects. We will also provide some additional components for an additional, optional charge.
